John P. Madden
Founder and Managing Partner
Mr. Madden is the Founder and Managing Partner of Emerald. Mr. Madden has successfully completed more than 80 restructurings and has been recognized among The Deal Pipeline’s “Top Crisis Management Professionals” for over 50 consecutive quarters.
Prior to founding Emerald Capital Advisors, Mr. Madden was a Managing Director at Chanin Capital Partners / Duff & Phelps Restructuring. Prior to Chanin, Mr. Madden was a Director at Zolfo Cooper, where he held positions of increasing responsibility for six years. Prior to Zolfo Cooper, Mr. Madden was employed by Arthur Andersen LLP.
Mr. Madden earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from Georgetown University. Mr. Madden holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, 63, and 79 licenses; is a Certified Insolvency and Restructuring Advisor (CIRA); and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
Ryan O'Sullivan
Managing Partner
Mr. O'Sullivan is a Managing Partner of Emerald. He has over 22 years of experience in operational and financial advisory for both healthy and distressed companies.
Mr. O'Sullivan earned a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Georgetown University. Mr. O'Sullivan holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, 55, 63, and 79 licenses.
Paul Escott
Managing Director
Mr. Escott is a Managing Director of Emerald. Prior to Emerald, Mr. Escott was a senior member of the global structuring group at PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP. Prior to PwC, Mr. Escott co-founded Remsen Strategy Consulting Group, LLC, a boutique cross-border advisory firm. Mr. Escott began his career at Prudential Securities.
Mr. Escott has a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University, a Masters of Science in theology from the University of Cambridge, and a Masters in Business Administration from the Yale School of Management where he was the John F. Ridell Scholar and the Branford College Gordon Grand Graduate Affiliate. Mr. Escott holds the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) Series 7, 24, 63, and 79 licenses.
Christopher Saitta
Vice President
Mr. Saitta is a Vice President of Restructuring at Emerald. Mr. Saitta has significant experience in financial and operational restructuring and turnaround advisory. During his tenure at Emerald, Mr. Saitta has advised stakeholders, debtors, and creditor committees, both inside and outside of Bankruptcy. Mr. Saitta’s experience in complex engagements includes general M&A, valuation, cash flow projections, assessing liquidity positions, and determining the financial viability of companies.
Mr. Saitta has a Bachelor of Arts from University of Connecticut.
